What was I thinking...

This weekend we went "home" to my parents Saturday afternoon and basically just relaxed around the house and watched the hockey game with dad. Then Sunday we picked up my nephews, and drove back here to Rochester, picked up our niece, and took the 3 kids to Disney On Ice. Yes...one of those places that uses peer pressure to try to get you to buy EVERYTHING for your kids. We survived with only buying...cotton candy, a hot dog, a $3 bottle of water, and a box of popcorn. My nephews then slept over, and we spent the day today at Strong Museum of Play. I.....am......exhausted! They are still here for about another hour....but watching some cartoons so I can rest.

However, I also had my first official doctor appointment today! :-) My "official" due date by them is August 26th (rather than my estimate of the 22nd) - but since it's just a few days off...I'm not going to change my thinking (I like having Saturday as my "week" day). They did a pap, then the doctor said he was going to TRY to use the doppler to hear the heartbeat...but not to expect much because it was REALLY early. Just when it seemed he was about to give up...we heard it!!! Beating away at 160!! Hooray! I'm just sad that DH missed it since I didn't think they'd do anything like that today. Oh well...I have to call tomorrow to schedule my first trimester screening. He will DEFINITELY be there for that!
