Sharing the News!

*Warning - This is going to be a long post*
I was supposed to go to visit my family Friday night for my nephew's birthday party, and was going to tell my sister the big news then. Unfortunately, there was a nasty snow storm, so we had to wait until Saturday. Everyone wondered why we were coming to town when we would be there in a few days for Christmas.

We started at my sister's house. She was very confused when I told her we had an early Christmas present for her. Check out the video for what happened next....

Yes - she was VERY excited, and immediately went on a search for her pregnancy books. Her and I then went to do a little Christmas shopping.

When we got back, we went to my parents house to share the news with them. Unfortunately, my mom got stuck late at work and didn't get home until 6:30pm. She had to leave shortly after for a Christmas party. We told my parents we had an early gift for them - a digital photo frame. I had created one of the "credit card" slide shows (thanks to some girls on GP for the idea!). "Digital Photo Frame ..$39" ..."Finding and cutting down the perfect Christmas tree...1.5 hours & $30"..."Realizing there are 3 K_____'s in this picture.....priceless!" Dad said he knew as soon as the video started (and even had an idea before, since we were so eager to come home, and then had a gift for them). They were both SOO excited, and now want us to move back to town so they can babysit. Mom wants to retire too. She said "So, can I share the news at my Christmas party?" I said sure....because I know she can't keep it to herself! Dad then took us out to dinner to celebrate.

Finally, at 9:30pm I called my brother to see if we could stop over. He seemed a bit concerned, but said yes, and just his fiancee was there with him. At first, I tried to lie to him to tell him that the place we went for our honeymoon offered us an AMAZING deal if we went back for our 1st anniversary...which is the same weekend my brother is getting married. But I couldn't keep a straight face....so then I said "Well, is it okay if your little sister is 8 1/2 months pregnant at your wedding??" They were both ecstatic! Turns out my brother and his fiancee had been at a garage sale back in August when we were on our honeymoon, and saw a precious moments figure (I collect them) of a mom and baby. They bought it - figuring they'd give it to me someday. Well, before we showed up, my brother had an IDEA this is why we were coming...so he got it out and put it under his tree. After we told them the news, he said "I have a present for you under the tree!" How sweet!

Now that I've told my family, I can finally tell my bff who lives with us (though she prob. already has SOME idea...) and we're telling the inlaws next weekend when we celebrate Christmas with them! It's FINALLY starting to feel a bit more real....though I keep thinking "Now that I've told, will I wake up tomorrow and realize this was all just a dream?"
