Flutters? And other good stuff...

I've heard around 14-17 weeks is when most people start feeling "flutters" or "pop rocks" or whatever else you may want to call baby's first noticeable movements - so even though I'm in the first half of that window, I've been eager to feel something. After being sick since Saturday (head cold) - I had horrible heart burn for the first time last night and again this morning. I thought to myself "Maybe baby is going through a growth spurt." This morning I also noticed I could feel my uterus much more clearly (though still not high enough for much of a bump). Today I had an all day meeting, and while sitting there my stomach (okay, uterus) kept feeling strange. Not really sure how to explain it. Maybe it was flutters...I don't know for sure....but it's possible!!!!

Also...last night while resting on the couch, I decided to do some serious research, etc. on some of the bigger baby items. I definitely want SAFE and QUALITY products, but also want to keep budget in mind. I stayed up extra late to show DH my findings. Here are some pics:
We're going with a jungle theme since it's fairly gender neutral:
DH doesn't like this color scheme (the brown) - but with going neutral, I feel like some sort of green/brown is our best choice. We're going to check it out this weekend in the store.
We don't really need a pack 'n play with all the bells and whistles, vibrating, music, etc...do we?This is really cute and matches our theme (not that it really matters for a high chair). It also had GREAT reviews...but it's on clearance! DH thinks we should buy it (only available online) now and if we don't like it, return it. I feel a little weird making our first "big" purchase something baby won't even use for a few months!
Anyways....so I think that within the next few weeks we are going to clean out the spare room, soon to be nursery. We are going to ask my parents to trade them...our spare queen bed for one of their twin beds (which I want to put in our office for guests). We also have to get the crib from my parents' house (the crib my sis used for my nephews). I'm so excited that DH is so excited! In fact, he's been talking about starting the nursery for weeks now (as much as I want to, I thought it was a bit unnecessary so far).
