Great News!!!

So LATE last night (like 11ish?) - I found out that my 24 hour urine test came back GREAT...somewhere in the 200's - so I DON"T have Pre-eclampsia!!! I asked the doctor when I'd get to go home (aka, can I go home "tomorrow", which is now "today"?), and he said that decision has to be made by my own doctor. The only issue right now is that I had round 2 of the steriod shot last night, and the steriod shot really screws with glucose levels (I've had to have insulin every time they've tested my glucose since the first shot). BUT - if I already have to test my glucose anyways, can they just send me home with the insulin? I'm hoping!

So I've been stalking the nurses this morning - asking them to track down my doctor whether he's in the hospital...or call him shortly. Of course, the biggest deal is that we're moving today! So I don't want them to come in at like 4pm and tell me I can go home...when DH and our helpers are all IN Buffalo, with no one to pick me up! Not to mention, I REALLY want to be there to watch the move and see my house for one last time.

Dear Doctor,
I promise that I will not do any work for this move. I just want to get out of the hospital. In fact, put me on some sort of bed rest if you want - I can do it at home (DH and my family can wait on me hand and foot if you so insist). I don't cheat on my GD diet (I've been watching my own carbs here in the hospital since they've still been bringing me too many even though they know I'm supposed to be on low carb...ugh)...and I wouldn't do ANYTHING to hurt my baby. I will check my BP and take my BP meds...and insulin as needed.

**HOORAY!!! I get to go home!!! With strict instructions to lay down and do nothing...and I don't need the insulin..they want me to control it with diet. Can't wait for "later today" to arrive :-)
